Adrienne Scribner

Adrienne has over two decades of experience as an interior designer in the hospitality industry, working with clients such as Marriott, Gaylord, Ritz Carlton, Moxy and more. Known for a research-based approach to products and processes, Adrienne delivers design work meant to withstand the ever-changing needs of guests, clients, and brands alike. With deep experience in every phase of design, she’s a sought-after mentor to young designers. Prior to Baskervill, Adrienne worked independently for 15 years as a consultant to major hoteliers leading prototype development and design. Adrienne also serves as Managing Director of the firm’s Washington DC office.

As an avid outdoorsman, Alan transforms his zest for excitement and adventure into inspired ideas as principal and architect in our workspace and mixed-use studios and business development leader across the firm. His ability to creatively approach issues from many angles is a breath of fresh air for organizations looking to reinvent their client and employee experience. It’s this enthusiasm that’s led Alan to speak at both regional and national conferences, helping companies of all sizes on their trek toward better understanding the impact of changing demographics and dynamics. He is passionate about bridging the gap between generations, truly understanding and valuing each for what they have to offer.

With the philosophy that the most powerful designs are those that are contextual, Anca brings passion and precision to her role as architect and Studio Director. A scholarly designer with a global perspective, her wealth of knowledge has led her to share the world of architecture with others through the ACE Mentor program, AIA Front Porch, Architecture Week, and other community outreach programs and student architecture camps for the past 15 years. She currently serves on the AIA Virginia Board of Directors.

Andrew Hartman

Over the last several years, if there was a complex new build hotel project, it’s likely Andrew Hartman was on it. From tight urban sites to greenfield acreage, Andrew’s highly technical and team-centered approach has been critical in seeing projects through from concept to opening day. His deep construction knowledge and understanding of how hotels function makes him an incredible asset to owners, developers, and brands; his client relationships a testament to his skill in creating collaborative, cohesive teams that get it done.

Ashley Nedza Jones

Giving clients the best possible experience is Ashley’s number one priority as an architect and studio director. Her leadership—and design—philosophy is straightforward yet effective: Show up, work hard, and get it done. And that’s exactly what she does on every project she joins, from cutting-edge research buildings to NCAA softball stadiums. For Ashley, no problem is too large to be solved with a healthy dose of optimism and teamwork.

Beth Temple

As an associate and design director for Baskervill’s hospitality division, Beth Temple understands the importance of communication when talking with clients about a project. Her ability to think big and meet clients’ operational goals means clients return to Beth time and again for her keen eye and fresh approach to challenges. Clients rely on her not only for her thoughtful and intuitive design methodology but her extensive expertise and inspired and intelligent choices. Her work has won a number of awards, including a Gold Key Award of Hospitality Design Finalist honor for Best Hotel Design for the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort at Bonnet Creek.

Bob’s practicality blends seamlessly with his sharp sense of humor to create a successful hands-on approach to managing employees, clients, and projects. He cares just as much about the nitty-gritty details of operating a 140-plus person business in four cities as he does about the big-picture thinking it takes to keep the business relevant, profitable, and growing. His ability to pay close attention to people at a one-on-one level helps to foster authentic relationships that last for years. Making connections with people is not what he does, it’s who he is.

Bob Tierney

Bob Tierney views architecture as an exploratory process full of connections and possibilities. You’ll often find him tinkering in his sketchbook, where bold lines and hatch marks evolve into client-centric designs with form and function. His deep knowledge of how hotel operations impact design means Bob works closely with our design teams to explore ways in which our work can positively impact efficiency while providing a memorable guest experience .Passionate about learning and discovery, Bob excels in advancing design education and lends his expertise to the community through his involvement as a member of the Virginia Commonwealth University Architectural Review Committee, AIA Richmond Chapter, and the Venture Richmond Architectural Review Board.

Brad Richards is an architect and principal leading Baskervill’s award-winning, multi-faceted hospitality studio. The majority of his 20+-year career has been focused on leading-edge development for hoteliers throughout the US and Caribbean, with a central focus on modular design and implementation in recent years. Catalyzed by the innovation found when human experience meets technology, Brad is a critical resource for developers and hoteliers seeking to push the boundaries of traditional design thinking.

Principal | Chairman of the Board

Burt Pinnock’s passion for design has created award-winning work time and time again, from historic sites and cultural institutions to forward-thinking companies and foundations. He previously served as Chair of the Commonwealth of Virginia Art & Architectural Review Board and Vice Chair of the Richmond 300 Advisory Board, and is a co-founder of Storefront for Community Design, amongst many other notable board and committee engagements. For Burt, architecture isn’t a job; it’s his personal contribution to the wellbeing and vitality of our communities.

David Wilbourne

David Wilbourne is a Studio Director in Baskervill’s bustling hospitality division. He comes to us from New York’s famed Rockwell Group, where he worked on projects ranging from tiny, couture jewelry stores to NFL Stadiums and Las Vegas casinos, boutique hotels, and much, much more. His critical eye for detail and nuance, combined with a passion for the built environment and an incredibly gregarious personality make David a formidable member of design teams. His ability to weave unforgettable stories is one of his most memorable qualities; a trait he brings to his layered and elegant design work for complex renovations and new builds alike.

Deb Nemeth

Thoughtful and detail-oriented, Debra Nemeth brings solid project management skills and fresh perspectives to her work in the Manufacturing + Logistics studio. With a Master of Science in Sustainable Environmental Design from the prestigious Architectural Association in London, Debra is passionate about designing responsible architecture with minimal environmental impact. Before joining Baskervill she worked on a number of noteworthy projects including a renovation for the US headquarters of Independent Container Lines and the Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Eric Haley

Eric Haley believes that integrated design approaches are simply good for business. As director of engineering, Eric leads collaborative teams to deliver comprehensive solutions where form and function are equals. A powerful advocate for sustainability, Eric works closely with clients to help them understand not only the environmental benefits of going green but the financial savings they’ll see over the lifetime of their systems, making sustainability measure achievable for all. A renaissance man who loves tennis, cooking, and Star Wars, Eric brings an approachable and relatable perspective to his work on complex systems for projects large and small.

Jay Woodburn

Known for his easy-going charisma, principal Jay Woodburn, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a self-proclaimed technical architect who loves the nuts and bolts of design. For Jay, the joy in design comes from seeing a process through from start to finish. In his 20 years with the firm, Jay has become the go-to project executive for large, fast-paced projects where close teamwork and collaboration are essential, as well as highly technical adaptive reuse projects. Clients and consultants alike appreciate his level-headed approach to solving problems, his hands-on BIM expertise and Revit integration, and his enthusiastic demeanor.

Jeff Taylor

Jeff Taylor is a client champion who loves the nuts and bolts process of his work with Manufacturing & Logistics client. He excels at technical design and has a critical construction eye, making him an asset for clients focused on strong documentation and construction administration for complex projects. Jeff’s expertise includes hazardous chemical storage facilities, manufacturing, warehouses and distribution centers, and building code/life safety analyses.

John Michael Currie

Principal

John has over 40 years of experience dedicated exclusively to healthcare facility planning, programming, and design, and is responsible for more than 200 healthcare facilities across the United States and throughout the world, including Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His work ranges from community hospitals to academic medical centers, specialty hospitals, and cancer care facilities, among others, and he is consistently noted among the leading experts in the nation on the healthcare facility development. John is a guest lecturer on healthcare facility planning and patient safety at numerous leading universities and has been a featured speaker at DesignDC, Architecture Exchange East, AIA SC, and VSHE. John is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Over the last 35 years, Margaret Hood has made an impressive career specializing in corporate and legal affairs for the design industry. Working her way through the ranks from administrative assistant to principal, Margaret’s influence can be found in nearly every aspect of our firm’s operations. From overseeing our accounting and administrative teams to managing contracts and negotiations, licensure, tax filings, professional liability, and other legal responsibilities, Margaret wears many hats and does so with aplomb.

Matthew Marsili

Matthew Marsili’s award-winning retail and hospitality design paved the way for his work in Baskervill’s Workplace studio. With an intuitive ability to design lively shared spaces for collaboration, Matthew’s work consistently turns heads and earns recognition from clients, collaboraters, and users. His immersive approach translates a client’s brand essence and vision into their physical environment through thoughtful touches and details. Matthew can be found guiding the interiors team toward higher standards every day with passion and zest.

Michael Harper

Focused in hospitality, Michael Harper’s hard work, dedication, and attention to detail is evident in all aspects of the design process, from schematic design to construction documents. Michael is creative and resourceful, a skilled communicator who understands the value of cultivating great relationships with clients. His experience with code research— including accessibility codes and ADA hotel surveys—and construction inspection gives him a thorough working knowledge of the complex relationships between structural elements, MEP systems, and roofing, window and wall assemblies.

A versatile architect and interior designer, Michelle brings her multi-disciplinary experience to her role as a principal and managing director of Baskervill’s Orlando office. Michelle has more than two decades of experience bringing projects from schematic design through the construction process while ensuring top-notch communication and the highest quality design. She is an organized leader who consistently meets and exceeds client expectations and who thrives at cultivating relationships and building networks. Michelle is a CREW Orlando Entrepreneurial Spirit and a Globe Street Woman of Influence award-winner  – a testament to her drive and abilities.

Patricia Lopez

Patricia Lopez’s life, and career, are centered on her core belief: bring love and laughter to everything you do. It’s a philosophy rooted in her Latin upbringing – where joy infused everything from food to style – and a central tenet of her design ethos today. Her commitment to getting to know her clients means Patricia’s designs are not only ‘grammable but highly curated, layered, and functionally-sound. Having spent the entirety of her career in hospitality design, Patricia has an acute understanding of how hotels operate, where owners will see the most return on their investments, and how design decisions can shape the operational efficiency and performance of a property. A Boutique 18 Honoree in 2020, Patricia thrives on collaboration and connection with clients and colleagues alike.

Jonah Margarella is first and foremost a listener. Able to synthesize disparate ideas, concepts, and goals into inclusive spaces accessible by all who need and want to use it, As an architect and Studio Director for Workplace, Jonah approaches design from many viewpoints and delivers expressive designs for our everyday lives. Inspired by natural forms and materials, Jonah can often be found on a long run, coaching his son’s soccer team, or sitting around a campfire with his family.

Ray Trevillian

As Principal Emeritus of Manufacturing & Logistics, Ray focuses on designing completely tailored solutions for highly technical spaces, including manufacturing hubs, data centers, fleet maintenance facilities, distribution facilities, assembly plants and more. His process-oriented mindset and detail-focused approach has helped industry leaders such as Volvo, Polykon, and Canon run more efficiently and smoothly.

Sandra Pantelic

For Sandra Pantelic – associate, architect, and studio director in our Hospitality studio – collaboration is everything. She works closely with clients, colleagues, and consultants to look at projects holistically before digging into every detail. Her highly technical approach means Sandra is intensely knowledgeable about codes, requirements and constructability, skills her team and her clients rely on for big, new build projects and complex renovations. Her work speaks to a love of form and the nuanced balance of beauty and functionality.

Sarah Tetens

Design Director

With over 15 years of healthcare design experience, Sarah’s mission is translating her passion for patient, guest, and staff experience to the design. Sarah believes every design decision is intentional, and a key part of her process is collaboration with end users, operations personnel, and consultant partners to achieve results that serve everyone. Her work in healthcare is purposeful, and the idea that everyone in healthcare – from nurse to technician to designer – is passionate about “doing good” is perhaps her favorite aspect of the work.

Her vivid philosophy brings brand stories to life through fresh, powerful design.

Tammy Albanese has extensive experience in working with real estate brokers, developers, and tenants on space planning and tenant improvement projects. Her incredibly efficiency allows her to provide quality design at a reasonable price with quick turnaround times. In her work for both large real estate corporations and small, local companies, Tammy has provided functional, well-planned spaces that serve clients well and meet their needs for many years.

Over her 30-year career, Terri has worked in several markets but a focus in hospitality over the last decade means she understands how to work within brand standards to achieve the cost-effective but experience-driven designs her clients are looking for. Terri believes in building relationships, exploring various perspectives, and advocating for solutions – lessons she readily shares with young architects following in her footsteps.

Whether walking down the street or sitting in a meeting, it’s not uncommon to see Tom look up. He’s like a sponge eager to absorb inspiring architecture, environments, and culture. From expansive masterplanning efforts for mixed-use developments to site studies and conceptual design for luxury hotels, Tom brings serious Disney magic and visualization expertise to Baskervill. With commanding knowledge of building codes and a knack for working with complex municipalities, Tom’s known for quickly establishing himself as The North Star (or go-to) on projects.

T.K. has nearly 30 years of experience designing electrical systems for hospitality, corporate, retail and government clients. His guiding philosophy—to engineer with intent—steers clients toward budget-friendly solutions that work for the long haul. T.K. is a leader in the electrical engineering industry, staying actively involved in the National Society of Professional Engineers. A diehard football fan who loves a good tackle, T.K. knows the value of keeping an eye on the prize.
